Why the One Guy Chose Other Than King James for MVP

In the vote for the MVP in the NBA, LeBron James took home the trophy, as usual. But he was one vote short of an unanimous decision between 120 sports sportswriters and broadcasters, which would of made history. Instead of James, that one sportswriter, Gary Washburn, picked Carmelo Anthony. He defended his vote by saying he felt that Carmelo Anthony lifted the Knicks to new heights this season-a No.2 seed and their first division title in 19 years- with an aging roster, the team's second-best player [Amar's Stoudemire] out most of the season and a myriad of other injuries.

Anthony said in a statement that he appreciates the vote, and it will boost his confidence.

In my opinion, I agree with Washburn's pick, because Anthony had to step up. On the other hand, James just played amazingly well as usual, which is nothing new.
